Season chicken with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and onion powder.
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up the brown bits.
Reduce heat and whisk in cream cheese until smooth.
Stir in heavy cream and parmesan until the sauce thickens slightly.
Return chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over the top, and let it warm through.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with pasta, rice, or bread.
